I have not read the book myself, but if it challenges one's faith, I'm glad for it. I Peter 4:15 tells us that we should be ready to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you....If this book makes you search the bible for answers, then as a Christian, I welcome this urge to open the word of God to not only challenge but also subdue the cunning cratiness of man, whereby we know, he at times speaks and writes with the goal to only deceive.

I have not read the book, so I would not denounce it as "heretic, blasphemous and downright disgraceful". My curiosity is -what makes it such a 'darn good book'. Is it because it challenges the Word of God why it is so appealing to so many?
