Kanisa Monthly Day of Prayer & Fast
Kanisa it’s Pray and Fast Time…
Each month there will be a specific theme/topic in which the church will pray about for themselves and the church in whole. Information about the date and theme will be sent out via updates, and the complete outline will be available via the Prayer Ministry web page a day or two before the designated date. You will also be able to find resources pertaining to prayer and fasting on this page.
Overall there is 1 topic for the day, with 2 separate sections for which you are to pray and fast about:
- Personal Reflection Time: Time to spend a little 1-on-1 with God, to reflect on how the topic affects you.
- Church Prayer and Fast: Coming together to fast on behalf of the church over this topic.
Focus of fasting: Fasting is meant as a tool to clear away all the everyday things that may distract us, in order for you to have a) more clarity, b) a closer connection, c) and hear more clearly when we commune with God in prayer. That way, whether he answers our prayer or not, we are ultimately in a deeper connection with him and have more peace from it.
