Position: Raptors Basketball Operations Intern

Reports to: Basketball Operations Staff

Start Date: January 2008 or sooner -As a valuable member of the Toronto Raptors Basketball Operations team, you will assist with a variety of duties

Specific Duties:

·       Database Management: Monitoring the status of agents and their companiesInternational information kept current Minor league teams monitored Player stats and bio’s kept up to dateEnter scouting reportsCommunicate with XOs creator to ensure database is running smoothly Daily updates – transactions/info  ·       Assist Basketball Operations staff with various administrative duties:Photocopying, Filing, Shipping and ability to work with Microsoft Programs. ·       Assist Coaching staff with administrative duties.·       Assist with travel arrangements.·       Schedule Co-ordination.·       Game credentials.·       NBA Draft preparation.·       Internet Research.

Requirements: ·       Knowledge of Basketball·       Available for a longer period of time- January (or sooner) to July 1, 2008 Available for a minimum of four (4)  weekday shifts·       Currently enrolled in a University or College degree/diploma in a sports, public relations or communications related field ·       Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills·       Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail·       Proficient in MS Office and XP·       Able to exercise diplomacy and tact at all times·       Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines·       Confidentiality·       Team Player·       A winning attitudeInterested applicants are asked to send their resumes with a cover letter by email to internship@mapleleafsports.com .
