Our Story

What is Kanisa Fellowship?

Kanisa was founded in 2003 by a group of Seventh-day Adventist Christians and is now a member of the worldwide Seventh-day    Adventist Church. We recognize the thirst for a fresh worship experience, church structure, and focus on Christ-like love over doctrine, and by God’s grace will address those needs.

Kanisa is Swahili for “church.” Those two words combined, church fellowship, describe our goal to grow a group that moves beyond the once-a-week meeting and reaches into the community to form strong ties while maintaining a family atmosphere.
