Patrick Élie (Eh-lee) Jacques currently serves as the Lead Pastor at Kanisa Fellowship. He has graduated with a BA in Ministerial Theology (‘05) and an MA Degree in Psychology (‘16). He is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology (‘21) and an MA in Theology (‘20) at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. His academic research centers on social connectedness, resilience, hope, gratitude, and their capacity to enhance worship experiences and spirituality. In a pastoral ministry spanning 12 years (2005-2014, 2017-present) he has served congregations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Dallas, Texas, and Long Beach, California.
March 2011, Patrick married his beautiful wife, Amoy, whom he affectionately calls his “queen.” His Bible passage which best fuels his heart for ministry is found in John 21:15-17: to love Jesus and to love His children. Patrick is passionate about journeying alongside people in a faith community and helping them discover deliverance and renewed hope.
More than academic or vocational accolades, Patrick wants you to know he has dedicated his life to being a loving husband, a caring son and brother, and a servant that will faithfully lead God’s people towards God’s kingdom purposes. Patrick believes in the power of prayer and the power of the blood of Jesus to transform lives. He believes that God is doing a mighty work at Kanisa Fellowship and that the best is yet to come.
