Quick Questions

Why A New Tithe Envelope?

The Ontario Conference introduced a new series of envelopes for tithe in the spring of 2015.

The Kanisa Fellowship Council reviewed the final artwork and strongly felt that there was an opportunity to improve on how the envelope conveys the inclusive and important message of Bible mandated giving plans.

Does the Ontario Conference know about the new envelopes?

Yes.  Stewardship Director Andy Marshall met with Conference Stewardship Director, Pastor David Schwinghammer, on November 10, 2015 and formally submitted the artwork to the Conference. Kanisa Fellowship is committed to working closely with the Ontario Conference Stewardship office.

Does anything change with where money is remitted?

No. Funds that are designated for the Conference, including tithe, are remitted to the Ontario Conference.  Local funds, including church budget, remain at Kanisa Fellowship.  All funds and envelopes received are audited by General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS).

Have other churches used a custom giving envelope?

Yes, custom giving envelopes have been used by a few churches in the Ontario Conference since 1998, if not before. They are often used for special giving projects or for emphasis in giving.
